The ISO 27001:2013 standard provides a framework of policies and procedures for businesses seeking to establish, implement, maintain and continually improve an information security management system (ISMS). It identifies requirements and specification that encompass the entire business operation including its people, processes and technology and defines how an organisation should manage and treat information more securely, including appropriate security controls and risk management mechanisms.
The certification is valid for 3 years and is subject to ongoing regular external assessments.
